Planning principle

A pilot should make the next decision easier, not create permanent drift.

A small trial has started, but the team has not agreed on what evidence would justify keeping, changing, expanding, or ending it.

Use it in the workflow

Start with these decisions

1. Write the single workflow, participants, information boundary, and review period for the pilot.
2. Choose a few observations to collect: quality of the draft, review effort, uncertainty, access friction, and whether the team would repeat the process.
3. Name the person who collects the observations and the person who decides the next move.
4. Choose an exit path: stop, revise the rule, try another workflow, or expand with new safeguards.

A pilot is not proof that every role, workflow, customer record, or connected system is ready for the same tool. Expand only when the evidence fits the next decision.
